Normalization Process – JEE Main 2024 Result

Since the JEE Main exam is conducted in multiple sessions, the difficulty level may vary. To address this, the authorities use the process of normalization. NTA will release the normalized JEE Main 2024 scores, indicating the percentage of candidates whose scores are equal to or below the scores of top scorers in that specific section. The calculation formula for NTA scores is:

Formula: (100 x number of candidates who appeared in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / total number of candidates who appeared in that session

It is important for candidates to understand that the normalized NTA score differs from the percentage of marks secured in the examination.
